West has undertaken a large number of projects, using various different techniques and for a variety of different markets. Below are a few of these projects.

Analysis and realisation of new registration system

VluchtelingenWerk Nederland is a national voluntary organisation that provides practical support to refugees who want to build a new life in the Netherlands. The organisation is represented nationally and regionally and is active in almost every community and refugee centre. It is the only organisation in the Netherlands that can assist refugees at every stage of their stay.

Environmental Distress Demonstrator

The Coast Guard Centre and the Royal Dutch Rescue Organisation (KNRM) are responsible for providing assistance in emergency situations at sea, for instance when ships are in distress, containers fall overboard or with problems relating to pollution (such as oil spills). West developed an innovative pilot application, in cooperation with Ursa Minor and ARGOSS, based on real-time satellite data that shows the location of an object at sea and where this object will most probably be located at a...

Testing universal roadside stations

Rijkswaterstaat is a government organisation that works to ensure flood control, sufficient clean water and a good and safe flow of traffic. The traffic control system is a real-time system that aims in particular at ensuring the safety of road traffic. West contributed to the testing of this system.

Web portal for the corporate energy market

West created a web portal for Westland Energy that allows horticulturists to react quickly to developments in the energy sector and to control their energy consumption and costs.

Accreditation system

The NVAO (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation) was looking for a system that could support its activities as an education accreditation body. West quickly mastered the company process of this client and delivered a system on time and within budget.

Telebanking

KAS-BANK (previously known as Kas-Associatie) was the first Internet-based bank in the Netherlands that made it possible to manage a bank account via a secured channel over the Internet.

Central Password Server

Reuters needed a solution that restricted access to computers installed worldwide to technical staff who are authorised to perform maintenance. It also had to be possible to trace who had performed maintenance, on which system and at what time.

Online home delivery service

The largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands wanted to get more out of the Internet. Something extra had to be added to the Albert Heijn website: a complete online shop. Together with other parties, West made this happen for Albert Heijn.

Simona Source Code Coverage Analysis

Simona is the international institute for research into "Simulation, Motion and Navigation". This institute offers facilities for fundamental research into improving simulation technology and the use of this simulation technology to improve vehicle performance and safety. Web-enabled order and stock management system

This project comprises an online order and stock management system for buyers of printed materials. The project was commissioned by Printass, a joint venture between eighteen graphic design companies.
