West employees are the backbone of the West organisation, which gives rise to our opinion that everything starts with the individual. How does an employee interact with the organisation or how does his or her performance fit in? Because we value personal initiative very highly, our employees are allowed far-reaching autonomy within the boundaries mutually agreed upon.
People always have the capacity to learn something new, which is why we spend a lot of our working time on further development. This is achieved in many different ways such as taking courses, organising workshops, attending congresses and promoting the need to become acquainted with and subsequently put into practice new techniques. As many of our employees studied at TU Delft or started working with us as undergraduates at the university, we consider our working relationship with TU Delft very important.
